Hibiki Blossom is the second release of a limited edition series that uses Japanese cherry casks. Expect delicate, honeyed florals from their use of fragrant sakura wood as well as generous tropical fruit to taste.
On the nose, there’s a delicate floral bouquet followed by rich honey and orange peel. The palate is ripe with tropical fruits and toasted malt, before spice grows alongside subtle but enduring floral notes.
Hibiki’s grain component is matured in Sakura casks, and blended with malts from other distilleries. This special Sakura portion makes up around 20% of the overall release.
