Made with a combination of malted rye and malted barley, Shortcoss’s second Irish whiskey release shows their ability to combine fruity yet spicy flavours in harmony.
Soft spice, orange peel and creamy caramel fudge on the nose, while to taste orchard fruits like apricot and apple come to the fore. Honeyed marmalade builds towards a rich and spiced finish.
Shortcross Rye & Malt is made from a mash bill of 100% Irish malted rye and malted barley. It’s double distilled on small copper pot stills then aged in a combination of virgin chinkapin oak and ex-bourbon barrels. Non-chill filtered.
