Unusual whisky that’s as unique to taste as it is in the details. Made with a combo of chestnut and ex-plum brandy casks – Freud’s Distiller’s Cut is loaded with apples, aromatic plum, toasted oak and warming spices.
Rich caramelised nuts and fruit brandy greet the nose, before malt takes over. To taste, toasted chestnuts, orange zest, green apples, vanilla, plums and soft smoke that lingers. Wonderfully weird in all the right ways.
Freud Distiller’s Cut is initially matured in a combination of chestnut casks and ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished in casks that previously held Ziegler Old Plum brandy.
