This is a high quality Champagne from a small grower, not an international conglomerate. Shows a beautiful golden hue with perfect clarity and lively bubbles. Elegant and delicate on the nose, with notes of mature yellow fruit.
Obviously this high quality Champagne drinks beautifully on its own, with complexity from barrel fermentation and extended lees ageing, but it’s freshness and fine mousse also make it a great base for Champagne cocktails.
The base wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation in both temperature controlled stainless steel vats and 35hl casks. A high proportion of reserve wine is blended in (40%) and it is aged for a minimum of 3 years on lees.
